|(Albert G. Bassett)|
A note from A.G. Bassett (Google Books):
A brief biography of Albert G. Bassett is presented in this reference found via Google Books:
Google Street View, Sept 2014, captured a view of several buildings lining one side of State Street at the corner of Brown St. in Rochester:

In 1884, A.G. Bassett was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church, at one time located at the corner of Plymouth Ave. and Spring St., Rochester, NY. as per Google Books:
The official page of the Presbyterian Church in Rochester presents a summary of the complicated history of Presbyterian congregations in Rochester. The former First Church building is now the home of the Central Church of Christ. I suspect A.G. Bassett would recognize the edifice from this Google Street View in 2014:
|As of 2015 the Central Church of Christ is vibrant and thriving,|
supported by an expanding and enthusiastic membership.

Cities were growing, but the rural population was still very large.
